Beacon Hound – Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

1.1   This policy applies to the Beacon Hound mobile APP, which is available on the Google Play store.

1.2    Beacon Hound is a developed and published by PeopleTray Pty Ltd (ABN 76 118 840 056). PeopleTray is      committed to safeguarding the privacy of our website visitors, product and service users, customers, and customer personnel. 

1.3    In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to PeopleTray Pty Ltd.

1.4    PeopleTray does not display advertising in Beacon Hound.

1.5    PeopleTray does not give, sell or otherwise provide your data to any 3rd party organization or person except parties that provide implementation and support services related to Beacon Hound, and organisations that are licensed users of Beacon Hound, and abide by this privacy policy.

1.6    Beacon Hound does not use cookies.

1.7    By using our products, PeopleTray partners and customers agree to abide by this privacy policy.

3. The personal data that we collect

3.1    Beacon Hound records the location of your mobile device by scanning BLE Beacons, and by recording your GPS location.

3.2    We may process information contained in or relating to any communication that you send to us or that we send to you (“communication data“).

4. Purposes of processing and legal bases

4.1    Beacon Hound collects and processes your location data for the purpose of managing the health and safety of the employees and contractors that work for PeopleTray and its customers, and for monitoring contract compliance.

4.2    Your personal data held in our PeopleTray databases will be stored on the servers of our hosting services providers, Microsoft Corporation and Microsoft Azure, or on devices, including mobile phones and tablets, that where our products are installed.

4.3    The legal basis for this processing location is our obligation or minimise OHS risks, and our legitimate interests in monitoring commercial contract compliance, and those or licensed Beacon Hound customers that agree to abide by this policy.

4.4    Publications – PeopleTray does not publish, sell or otherwise provide your personal data for any purpose other than those stated in this document.

4.5    Record keeping – We may process your personal data for the purposes of creating and maintaining our databases, back-up copies of our databases and our business records generally. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interests, namely in ensuring that we have access to the information we need to provide our service to you and run our business properly and efficiently in accordance with this policy.

5. Providing your personal data to others

5.1    We may disclose your personal data to our subcontractors and customers insofar as reasonably necessary for the purpose of developing, implementing, supporting, and otherwise providing PeopleTray’s services.

5.2    Legal compliance and vital interests – We may also process your personal data where such processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation.

6. Retaining and deleting personal data

6.1    Personal data that we process for any purpose shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose.

6.2    We may retain your personal data where such retention is necessary for compliance with a legal or commercial obligation to which we are subject.

7.1    We may update this policy from time to time by publishing a new version on our website.

7.2    You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes to this policy.
